Veterinarians
Kay Lindsay, DVMKay started this business in 1979 and has enjoyed watching it grow as well as meeting our many clients over the years. She really enjoys surgery, in fact that has become her primary duty here. She has a special interest in German Shorthaired Pointers, she owns one along with a chocolate lab and a cat. In her free time, she enjoys running, tennis, and CrossFit.

Barbara Petersen, DVMBarb joined Kay in 1985. She enjoys working with our clients and their pets and is our primary practitioner. She has always loved golden retrievers, currently owning one; Molly. She and her husband also have 2 cats. Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, reading, and activities with her 2 adult daughters when they're around.

Gordon Petersen, DVMGordon is Barb's husband and joined us around 1995 after several years on staff at the U of I Veterinary Hospital. He enjoys travelling the globe with Barb, and also spending as much time with their family as possible.

Bailey Rudisill, CVTPractice ManagerBailey has been with us since 2010. She does it all as Technician and Practice Manager to make things run smoothly around the practice. She has a rescued cat named Buzz; her dogs are Birdie, a Great Dane, and a Collie/ German Shepherd mix, Trigger. In January of 2020 she welcomed her first human baby, Charlie. Bailey enjoys spending time with her family and is an avid CrossFitter. In the fall she enjoys deer hunting at their family farm in Brown County.

Eva WyattSurgical TechnicianEva is one of the first employees of the Animal Hospital, being here since 1986. She came here after graduating from the Veterinary Technology program at Parkland College and Black Hawk East. During her many years here she has done nearly everything at the Animal Hospital. Currently she is our surgical and anesthesia technician, a job she really enjoys. At home she has 3 dogs, 3 cats, and 2 barn cats. She loves spending time with her husband and two boys camping, hiking, biking and enjoying the outdoors.

Andrea Hobbs, CVTVeterinary TechnicianAndrea has been with us since 1994. She handles the majority of our dental cleanings along with her technician responsibilities. Her current household consists of 2 dogs and 4 cats. In her free time, she enjoys going to the gym, walking her dogs, and a little bit of gardening. She has 2 kids that keep her busy with their various sports and activities.

Kelly Myers, CVTVeterinary TechnicianKelly came on staff in 2002. Along with her technician responsibilities she holds an interest in shelter medicine. She is responsible for our adoptable strays here and is also our rat and exotics specialist. Kelly's menagerie of animals includes 3 dogs, 3 cats, 3 chickens, and a mini horse. She likes spending time with her twin girls when they're home from college and caring for her mini farm.

Carol ReidelReceptionist/AssistantCarol's career here started in 1994. Her duties frequently change as she is always willing to do whatever we ask, but her primary objective is customer service related. She is our "crazy cat lady" here and has become our geriatric cat expert. This is because she has many cats of her own, 6 happy rescues to be exact. "The boys" and her 2 dogs keep her plenty busy at home. She enjoys jogging with 1 of her dogs and dining out with husband Steve.

Teale LaRosaReceptionist/AssistantTeale came on staff part time in 2019. As of August 2020 she is our full time receptionist. She has one dog named Dora, and four cats: Milo, Otis, Marley, and Frankie. Teale is from Monticello originally and currently resides in Bement with her husband Eddie. In her spare time she loves crocheting and card-making.

Michelle LampertAssistantMichelle came on staff in 2016. She is a versatile employee here. Currently she is enrolled in an online Vet Tech school hoping to be certified by 2023. She was born and raised in a Chicago suburb and moved to Monticello in 2012 where the rest of her family resides. Her pets include a horse named Roo, a chocolate lab named Ria, and a black cat named Binx. She enjoys spending time with family, horseback riding, participating in parades, going to Cubs games, and playing fetch with Ria.

Carly MorrisonKennel ManagerCarly has been with us since 2017. She enjoys spoiling our frequent boarders, spending time playing with them and getting to know their needs. She has a special interest in our stray kitties as she is the one who spends the most time with them and is often the one naming them. At home she has a pitty bull named Stella and a kitty named Poe. She is a long-time resident of Monticello. Her main interest is pottery and in fact she has a business to which she dedicates most of her free time.
